The "George", that's what I call it anyway.  It's a neat place to just chill and people watch.  It also has a kind of outdoor gym thing going on.  Just another place to combat the sometimes painful boredom associated with homelessness.
House of Hope, "HOH" on events calendar.
House of Hope lunch 9/23/2016!  Grilled chicken, salad, mac & cheese, not shown: Strawberry cake and bread.  Forgive the blur, I was excited when I took this! Grilled chicken provided by First Security Bank.
My favorite place to get away (sometimes).  The Springdale Public library, located in Murphy park at 405 S. Pleasant St.  Phone: 479.750.8180.  Web: www.springdalepubliclibrary.org.  Try not to be asleep in any study carrels after closing...heheh, long story, maybe I will share later.  Anyway, stay quiet, and behave respectably and you won't get banned...and yes, they do ban people from all library privileges.  Just FYI.

These are pictures taken from inside of the library of a once very beautiful and serene
Pond, a sanctuary for man and foul alike.  Now, just a disgusting eyesore.  I'm sure next year I will be posting pictures of a majestic pond with a thousand computer operated and choreographed water fountains exploding millions of gallons of ionized water into the atmosphere.  Quite possibly in time with Frederic Chopin's Revolutionary Étude (Op. 10, No. 12)!
Rest in peace, Freddy.

A few subtle reminders for behaving yourself at the various laundromats!  Note: There are a  lot more where these came from!

This is Shiloh Square in downtown Springdale.  Picture taken from Emma Ave.
It's another place to chill out safely and seek refuge from the rain and wind.
Also, in the background, to the right there are some pretty good restrooms/water fountains close/free wifi.  It's right off the Razorback Greenway Trail.  Not too far from the "George"--the park mentioned earlier.  Note: If you are 'sensitive' to the police...this area is pretty crowded,  if you know what I mean.
Also known as "SF" on the events calendar.  More details in the section "Your next meal".
The masters of the grilled chicken: The First Security Bank grill team!
10/2/2016 This is a typical pre-Sunday morning service breakfast at Samaritan Fellowship...but, what in the world are those long black objects on the right side of the plate?  Olives?  Dates?  Nope, take a closer look....
That, my friends is a grape!!!  No kidding, it's called a "Moon Drop Grape".  I think it is actually a really dark red grape.  This is what "Food Republic" has to say about it:
"Just this year this elongated purple-skinned grape made its way to markets, and boy are we happy it did. The person to thank for this variety is Dr. David Cain, a plant breeder and scientist who works for the grape-growing company Grapery, developing new types. He has been working on the Moon Drop for about 15 years, cultivating the plant from a Middle Eastern sample. No, it’s not a GMO fruit; Cain practices old-school plant breeding, which is why it took so long to develop this novelty.
Characteristics: Finger-like shape with dark purple, almost black skin. The flesh is firm and crunchy, giving this variety a nice snap that also helps it maintain in the refrigerator for days. It’s sweet, but not too sugary, and tastes a little like grape jelly.
Where they grow: Central California
Season: Late July to late September"
Huh?  How about that?  Proving once again, the knowledge on "Surviving Springdale" is limitless!  Darn good grape, by the way...I ate all of mine for sure!
