Miscellaneous

Sometimes there are services that just don't really have a defined spot on "Surviving Springdale", so I am adding this page to serve as a catch-all for those services that didn't make the original list of subjects.  This page can also serve as a spot to add your own comments or ideas that you think will help the needy/homeless in Springdale!  Thank you in advance.

  2. The second item I have is of the transportation nature.
*Ozark Regional Transit. Address: 2423 E.Robinson. Phone:479.756.5901. Web: http://www.ozark.org/. Hours: Hours vary based on route, but generally the operating hours are M-F 6AM-7PM. For more detailed scheduling got to the website and click on "Scheduling".

*For cyclists and walkers There is the Arkansas Greenway. This is a good way to get around downtown Springdale but also a good way to get to Fayettevile or Rogers if you're in a pinch. It avoids a lot of troublesome/devastating NWA hills! Web: http://www.ozark.org/

If you're really in a pinch, there is always https://www.uber.com/. It's a bit pricey, but very flexible as for times and locations.

My guess is there are ride share groups around the area, but I haven't as of yet heard of any. So if anyone wants to share any info on ride sharing, pleas let us know!

  4. There are two other business around Springdale that will allow you to a cup or refill of cold water, and use of their bathrooms. Mcdonald's is one, just don't hang out too long unless you actually buy something. Kum and Go is the other one. They allow bathroom access, refills on ice water, and for the bikers they have free air pumps on the side of the building. They sometimes freeze up when it is very cold though. As with any business, don't hang out too long in front or around the properrty and don't, definitely don't panhandle! I think that might even be illegal in Springdale. Anyway, hope this helps!

  5. *Celebrate Recovery. Let's face facts, a lot of us are in this position because of various addictions and behaviors that don't 'jive' with the 'normal' world. If this is you or someone you know this place can help. I have heard a lot about it and know several folks working their program today. Feel free to post a reply if you have had any experience with this program, good or bad. Web: http://www.fellowshipnwa.org/celebrate-recovery
